Rising / Silence During the Hail's Break

I look into the break in the evening clouds
I can see into infinity
I can feel myself rising and floating above the earth
It's night outside and a steady rain hisses into a drone
The stars gleam and I'm drifting
A white fog casts halos around floating orbs of light
A hundred seraphim alongside the rain-soaked ground
The mist never stops and I never want it to
When the sun appears it casts a shadow into the haze
In the mountains I walk to the waterfall
In the subzero air it will be a frozen cascade above willows
On the overlook there is a solitary tree
Beyond is an expanse of peaks
The sun casting a gradient of color through the clouds and fog
I don't know where I am but don't care
The tree stands and wonders what lies beyond
